The Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) Cluster integration allows you to monitor Amazon RDS Cluster through Panopta.

To add the Amazon RDS Cluster service to your Panopta account:

  1. Follow the instructions provided in Connecting Panopta and CloudWatch.
  2. Under Services, select RDS Cluster.

The following table describes the metrics supported by Panopta for RDS Cluster.

Metric Unit Description
Queries CountThe average number of queries per second.
Deadlocks CountThe average number of deadlocks in the database per second.
Volume Bytes Used BytesThe amount of storage used by your database instance, in bytes.
CPU Utilization PercentThe percentage of CPU used by a database instance.
CPU Credit Usage CountThe number of CPU credits consumed during the specified period.
CPU Credit Balance CountThe number of CPU credits that an instance has accumulated.
UpdateLatencyMillisecondsThe amount of latency in milliseconds for update queries.
DatabaseConnections
CountThe number of connections to a database instance.
Network Throughput BytesThe amount of network throughput both received from and transmitted to clients by each instance in database cluster, in bytes per second.
Update Throughput CountThe average number of update queries per second.
Delete Throughput Count
The average number of delete queries per second.
Blocked Transactions Count
The average number of transactions in the database that are blocked per second.
Login Failures Count The average number of failed login attempts per second.
Commit Latency Milliseconds The amount of latency for commit operations, in milliseconds.
Commit Throughput Count The average number of commit operations per second.
Engine Uptime Count The amount of time that the instance has been running, in seconds.

Snapshot Storage Used
GiBThe total amount of backup storage consumed by all snapshots for a database cluster outside its backup retention window.
Volume Read IOPs
CountThe number of billed read I/O operations from a cluster volume, reported at 5-minute intervals.
Volume Write IOPs
Count
The number of write disk I/O operations to the cluster volume, reported at 5-minute intervals.

SecondsThe amount of time a replica database cluster running on Aurora with MySQL compatibility lags behind the source database cluster.
Buffer Cache Hit Ratio
Percent
The percentage of requests that are served by the buffer cache.
Result Set Cache Hit Ratio
